Meet Ronda
In April 2011, my husband, two children, and I packed ten suitcases, boarded a plane in San Jose, California, and moved to Austin, where we lived in a furnished apartment–sight unseen while our house closed. I couldn’t wait to get back to Texas, where I lived growing up. And, by that summer one of the hottest on record, I fell in love with Texas all over again.
As a Real estate professional, I work with people preparing to make a move either to Austin or to a new neighborhood within the area. My clients appreciate my first-hand out-of-state relocation experience and subsequent three in-town moves that enable both expert advice and an empathetic ear to help them navigate the excitement and stress of moving. Throughout my career, I have focused on marketing, public relations, and design. This background is a strategic advantage for my clients. Whether it’s advising sellers on how to stage and market their homes to sell and sell quickly, or consulting with buyers on potential property improvements, adding value is my top priority.
In addition to selling real estate, I’m a wife, mother, athlete, winemaker, and Airbnb host. Bruce and I have been married for over 33 years. Our son, Jacob, is a writer and our daughter, Lauren, is a hairstylist. I ran competitive track in college and still love to put on my hot pink boxing gloves to spar with my trainer.
In 2017, Bruce and I launched an award-winning Napa Valley-based brand, Prothro Family Wines. Through our wine business, we get to connect with people from across the country and love that wine creates an experience that we can be part of sharing. In 2021, we purchased a 1906 farmhouse perched on 10 acres outside of Round Top, Texas, that we call BNR Farmstead. We have since restyled it, added a barn house, and now host year-round guests who want to experience a little slice of Texas heaven!
I truly love being a Texan and can’t imagine hanging my hat anywhere else!
